UPCOMING: Community Forums – Disability Reform Update (October 2025)

Register now to attend an online community forum to learn more about disability reform work occurring in Queensland, and how people like you have already been involved in shaping an inclusive future for people with disability. The forums are also an opportunity to learn how you can be involved.

    This is an opportunity to:

    • Receive updates from Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN) and the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety about the progress and implementation of the Stakeholder Engagement and Co-design Strategy (the SEC Strategy) and work of the co-design hub.
    • Learn more about work being led by QDN to inform Foundational Supports.

The SEC Strategy was developed by QDN, in consultation with people with disability and the disability sector.

The Strategy supports delivery of the Queensland Government’s disability reforms and establishes structures to put people with disability and stakeholders at the heart of reform processes through co-design.

QDN is leading the implementation of the Strategy in partnership with our Project Delivery Partners which includes key governance mechanisms for the project at strategic advisory and project delivery implementation. A key part of work to implement these reforms is engaging and co-designing with the disability community including people with disability, families, disability providers, peak bodies, advocacy as well as government agencies.

These forums will be information-only forums. Unlike other forums where there have been opportunities to workshop ideas, this will mostly be one-way. If you have questions about disability reforms (such as progress towards Foundational Supports, updates on the Co-design Hub, and other parts of the SEC strategy) please submit them at the following link – this will help to inform our presentation: https://forms.office.com/r/sX9sXRigAE

    Expected energy levels

At QDN we like to let you know how much energy an event might take. This event is low energy: cameras off, no chat function, listening only.
