OPPORTUNITIES TO BE INVOLVED IN DISABILITY REFORM IN QUEENSLAND
The Queensland Government is working on the reforms in response to recommendations from the Disability Royal Commission and the NDIS Review. There will be lots of opportunities to get involved with this work over the next four years so stay tuned for details.
COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE
Invitation for disability reform co-design Community of Practice
You are invited to participate in an online disability reform Community of Practice to share learnings about best practice co-design and hear reflections about co-design work. This is an opportunity to learn from peers and share your own learnings in a safe and supportive space.
This Community of Practice is being facilitated by Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN) as part of our work delivering the Queensland Disability Stakeholder Engagement and Co-Design Strategy.
The Strategy was developed by Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN), in consultation with people with disability and the disability sector and released on 30 September 2024. The strategy will ensure that people with disability, their families and supporters, and sector stakeholders are actively involved in designing, testing, and implementing important disability reforms under the Queensland Disability Reform Framework, including those arising from recommendations of the Disability Royal Commission and NDIS Review.
The Community of Practice is open to:
- members of the disability reform Co-design Team,
- disability reform project partner representatives,
- Queensland Government staff members, and
- previous attendees of a disability reform community forum.
Meetings occur on the third Thursday of the month, once every 3 months, starting Thursday 21 August 2025. (Schedule Below)
Meetings are hosted online on Zoom and run for 1.5 hours from 10am – 11:30am.
